This will be a hotel review of the famous New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square.

On Mother’s Day, we left for New York and stayed at the Marriott Marquis hotel located right in Times Square. As we got into the hotel, you’ll see an elevator bank right as you walk in the building.

To go up to the lobby, press 8 on the panel and it will assign you a car. This way you’ll get to the front desk much quicker than having to use the escalator.

As you get on the elevator, all you have is door open, door close, emergency buttons and the floor indicator. There is no need to press your floor button from inside the elevator.

This is the elevator hallway on the 8th floor (lobby level).

As you get off on the lobby, you’ll get a stunning view of the massive famous atrium. The lobby includes a gift shop, several restaurants, and the M Club. This hotel was designed by neo-futuristic Atlanta architect John Portman, completed in 1985. The hotel does not show its age despite many heavy renovations.

This is the M Club which I believe is for Marriott Bonvoy elite members only (Platinum, Titanium, Ambassador).

Just after checking in, we went up the glass elevator up to the room. Here is a view from the glass elevator.

Upon after getting off the elevator, I got a standard 2-queen bed room. I stayed in room 3523 for the night.

Here is a window view from my room. The view into Times Square was very nice from 35 floors up.

This is my parents room from up on the 42nd floor. This is room 4240. Standard king room with a bed facing the window.

Instead of placing the fitness center on the lobby levels, they placed it on the 23rd floor just to accommodate more space which is very interesting.

On the third floor, you’ll see a blue painted wall that leads you to the elevators that go up to the View Restaurant. The restaurant is on the 48th floor. You’ll have to be on the third floor in order to go to the View Restaurant. Here is the elevator bank. Cars F and G are the only elevators that serve the restaurant. Car F is the high-rise elevator which goes at 1,000fpm (the fastest) and Car G is the low rise elevator which goes a little bit slower at 800fpm.

Here is a view of the atrium from the third floor.

Shortly after settling down in our rooms, we went over to Rockefeller Center and went up to the top of 30 Rockefeller Plaza called “Top Of The Rock”. This is one of the most popular attractions in Manhattan. Here is a view from 67 floors up. It was an amazing view despite having to wait for our time and also for long lines.

After we did Top of the Rock, we headed back downstairs and went back to the hotel and settled in.

Here is a view from the very top floor of the hotel – the 45th floor. You’ll see one of the glass elevators there.

Overall, it was an amazing hotel. The glass elevators were amazing and super fun to ride. The massive neo-futuristic atrium was stunning. The rooms were very nice and clean. The view was nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel looking for a hotel to stay overnight in Times Square or anywhere in the NYC area. I would definitely stay here again.
