Hotel Review: Hartford Marriott Downtown, Hartford, CT

This will be a hotel review of the Hartford Marriott Downtown in Hartford, CT.

On July 4th, 2026 (Independence Day celerbating America’s 250th birthday), I took a quick short trip to Downtown Hartford, CT and stayed at the Marriott hotel.

When you walk in, you are greeted with a hallway straight into the lobby. To the left is another hallway into the CT Convention Center. To the right is Starbucks, and to the left is the PSAV Business Center which I forgot to show you.

This is the main lobby of the hotel with the front desk.

The lobby has two restaurants: The L Bar and the Vivo Seasonal Trattoria. This is the Starbucks Coffee.

This is the main elevator lobby that take you to the guest rooms.

The 21st floor has a concierge lounge. It is a very nice lounge with a view into the Connecticut River.

Now up 1 floor to the top which is the 22nd, there is a fitness center and the pool. It is interesting to place a pool and fitness center on the top floor since most hotels have them in the lobby.

This is the fitness center.

This is the pool area.

This has a high ceiling into the window.

Sadly, the whirlpool was closed, but here is a photo.

Now we go down to my floor where my room is. I stayed on the 20th floor.

Here is an interesting call station. The “Pool” button calls one of the the two out of four elevators that serve the 22nd floor. The other two only reach the 21st floor.

Now here is my room. I stayed in room 2022. It is a standard double queen bed room.

Inside the room, we have a bathroom here.

And here is a look of the room.

This is the main TV with a desk area.

Here is a view from the window facing the Connecticut River into East Hartford.

Overall, this seems to be a very nice hotel. The rooms were nice and very clean. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel to stay in the Downtown Hartford area.

If you want to book your stay here, you can go to the Marriott website, TripAdvisor, Booking.com, Expedia, or Hotels.com.
